This project consisted of the demolition of an existing dwelling and the construction of a block of 8 apartments.
Traditional construction methods were employed with deep strip foundations, suspended concrete ground floor, block and brick external walls, concrete upper floors, under a concrete tiled pitched roof.
External works included the construction of a new entrance, permeable paving for parking facilities and soft landscaping to all remaining areas.
As part of the planning requirements, all existing trees and plants were protected for the duration of the works.
The completed building achieved a “Code for Sustainable Homes” level 4 rating.
