These works consisted of the demolition of 3 existing terraces and the reconstruction of 2 ‘standing’ end-terraces along with a main stand having 12,000 seating capacity
The main stand and terraces were constructed with both insitu concrete and precast concrete elements.
A new concourse area located adjacent to the main entrance contained automated turnstiles, access stairwells to the stands and public toilet facilities.
External work elements included perimeter security fencing, extensive underground drainage and services installations, carparking and associated access roads.
The total stadium capacity was increased from 34,000 to 50,000 on completion of these works.
