This Cork Greyhound Stadium project included the complete structure and full internal fitout of the enclosed stand, all function areas and back of house facilities.
A striking internal feature of the building is the joinery and fitted furniture. Low-level partitions and ballustrades were constructed using birch, plywood and beech. Handrails, fixings and frames for glass were done in stainless steel. This theme was carried through the building with doors, frames and skirting al suitably detailed.
The main restaurant is also quite dramatic, with tables and seating arranged in tiers to allow racing to be viewed through the large planar glazed, front elevation.
